When science meets GPGPU
The Netherlands is a hub for advanced science and engineering. With projects like LOFAR, hi-tech companies like Philips, TomTom, NXP, ASML, Plantlab, and well-known universities of technology in Eindhoven,Enschede and Delft, you get a very little tast of the technological advancement of this small country with slightly more inhabitants than New York. Hence a great place to hold a GPGPU-day.
12 speakers from many universities in the Netherlands and 2 speakers from the industry will explain what they are doing using GPUs and alike techniques. The first reason is to meet the others in the field and make new contacts. Then there will be time to meet with industry-partners and students, and most of all: share knowledge.
Target audiences
- Researchers: meet the others in the field and share knowledge.
- Interested developers: learn, listen and meet.
- Managers: learn why computations can be sped up this much, and meet the people who matter in the field.
- Students: find all there is needed for your (future) thesis on parallel programming.
