scandinavian-gpgpu-dayUpdate: the event has been postponed to Q4 2015 or Q1 2016. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

Many researchers using accelerators don’t know each other and think they’re one of the few in their country who’s using them. Neither do many companies know that there are universities working on solving their compute-problems.

Therefore the first Scandinavian GPGPU-day will be held in Copenhagen on <TBD>. Focus is to bring all researchers in Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland) and the interested industry together, with the goal to share, network and learn.

The subject is all around GPUs, languages, compilers, libraries (OpenCL, CUDA, etc), and research made possible by using GPGPU.

To know what to expect, see the Dutch GPGPU-days in 2012 and 2013, and the below video.

Call for Speakers

Scandinavian researchers are prioritised to give a talk on GPGPU (OpenCL, CUDA, Renderscript, Metal, OpenGL shaders, etc), as the focus is to help network these countries. Language is English.

Talks are 25 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A. There are a few 5-10 minutes slots for a quick presentation.

Get in contact if you want to give a talk, show a poster or present a demo.

If you are a company and want to talk about your work or product, then see the sponsor options.

Location, time and costs

We chose for Copenhagen, because it has very good flight-connections with the whole of Scandinavia. Know that the whole event is non-profit (costs are to cover the location, food and the speakers).

Location is the Danish Architecture Centre.

The early bird ticket-price is €225,- for industry attendees, including coffee/tea, snacks, breakfast and lunch. For academics a discount will be arranged, if there are enough sponsors. No worries: you get a cashback, if you already bought a ticket and the ticket prices go down for academics. For students the price is €100. For the speakers (25 minute slots) there are free tickets available. In the 3 weeks before the event the price goes up to €275, so please be sure to book in time.

Sponsors

A good chance to profile your company and product in the GPGPU-community.

International companies and corporations

A table top where you can demo your solution. Photos plus story will be shared on the homepage and on social media. Price is  €1000 for the full package, or €2000 to be the main sponsor. It includes one ticket to the conference. You will sponsor the ticket prices of the academics.

Scandinavian companies

Like above (table top, visibility and one ticket), but for the price of €500. We want to support local companies and therefore give a €500 discount.

If you are a young startup or freelancer, we can arrange a sponsorship for the price of a ticket. Get in contact to find out if it applies to you.
